MUSIC ON THE WIRELESS

There was music on the wireless, or so we reminIsce,
Musicians playing tireless, and not just on a disc.
A song would have a tune, a singer have a voice,
When Mrs. Dale kept a diary, and housewives had a choice.

Real music on the wireless, in days of long before
The time of Radio One, or Two, or Three, or Four.
Tunes to make us happy, And we could all rejoice,
When Mrs. Dale kept a diary, and housewives had a choice.

Great music on the wireless, on Home and Light and Third,
Musicians playing tireless, the joyful sounds we heard.
No Rock, or Pop, or Rap, or other nasty noise,
When Mrs. Dale kept a diary, and housewives had a choice.

With music on the wireless, the world could sing again,
And learn to think of sunshine, instead of pouring rain.
And we could all be happy, rekindling bygone joys,
When Mrs. Dale kept a diary, and housewives had a choice.
